Jackson Hole Hotels

The Jackson Hole Valley in Teton County, Wyoming is home to the town of Jackson, though the two names are often used interchangeably. It is the biggest gateway for tourists to Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park, and it's also a an attraction in itself, boasting a number of ski resorts, fine restaurants, museums and shopping--not to mention the world's largest ball of barbed wire. It's about 60 miles away from the entrance to Yellowstone, and much closer to Grand Teton, so if your primary goal is geyser-viewing you might look elsewhere. But for families and groups of friends in search of a variety of activities--snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, rafting, fly-fishing, or snowcoach tours--Jackson has long been the favored base of operations. As with most of the tourist towns in this part of Wyoming and Montana, prices soar as high as the peaks outside your window.
